Research Support Services
Mountain Top University Library provides tailored research assistance, literature searching, scholarly publication advice, and referencing services to faculty, postgraduate researchers, and students.
Research support is provided through the Reference Section, headed by a Reference Librarian whose primary duty is to assist staff, students and researchers in locating information from Library resources for study, research and teaching.
- Research Assistance
- Answers to specific research and reference enquiries, and guidance in locating relevant materials within the Library.
- Literature Searching
- Extensive literature searches for users with research or project proposals.
- Referencing/Citation
- Instruction on the use of the Library, catalogues, abstracts and indexes to support accurate referencing of sources.
- Scholarly Communication
- Access to the MTU Library Journal and the Institutional Repository for publishing and discovering the University's research output.
- Other Research Services
- Inter-library services, including Letters of Introduction for registered members who need to consult other libraries for materials not held at MTU.
Library Opening and Closing Hours
The MTU Library is open during regular academic sessions to registered students, staff, and approved researchers.
